Today’s an exciting day. I’m feeling eager, excited, and grateful to share my life coaching services with you!
Have you ever had an intrinsic feeling about something and just knew it was true? That’s your intuition constantly fighting to reveal the light, but drowned by societal pressures and personal insecurities.
That’s how I felt before discovering my calling: to help people Seize the Second and achieve success with meditation, education, and, most recently? Life coaching.
Today I’ll briefly discuss how I added life coaching services to my roster of stillness offerings and how a personal life coach can help you reach your full potential.
How I Went From Wealth Advisor to Offering Life Coaching Services
It took me some time to find my bearings. I thought I had it right when I became a wealth advisor. I specialized in real estate and wealth management, eventually becoming a partner and president for Platinum Wealth Group.
You could say I was happy. I checked every societal “success” box and appreciated my comfortable life. Plus, I was helping people. Seeing a client’s face light up after making big financial moves with my guidance was incredibly rewarding.
Then I found meditation and realized what was missing: Stillness. Awareness. True Alignment. I started studying yoga and meditation, eventually adding Chopra Meditation certification to my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration.
Different worlds, right?
To me, not so much. Everything flowed naturally, and I found connections in the new roles I took on. I wrote all about it in my book (Get There!) and continued enhancing my meditation practice.
Once I felt comfortable in my expertise, I created the Stillness to Success course, where I took on a handful of students and worked with them to find true success. A few years later, I signed up for a coaching certification program, receptive to learning how to deepen my offerings and support people even more.
Today, life coaching services felt like it followed my previous offerings quite gracefully.
I’m so grateful for all your support, and believe me: I couldn’t have made it without you. Here’s where you can learn more about my coaching offerings:
- 1:1 Individual Coaching
- Group Coaching
Now, you might not know what to expect from a life coach – don’t worry. I’ll walk you through the ins and outs of life coaching, what it looks like, and how it helps.
Let’s find some common ground first.
What is a Personal Life Coach?
A personal life coach helps you reach fulfillment, however that looks for you and your goals. Their service is more than just consulting – they’re part of your support system, a mentor that cheers you on and keeps you accountable.
But what does a personal life coach do? Some things they might support you with are:
- Learning your true desires and goals to work toward them
- Improving your relationships
- Excelling in your career
- Finding more happiness in your day-to-day
- Overcoming obstacles like insecurity, anxiety, procrastination, and stress
These are all pretty broad, right? Goals, relationships, and obstacles look different for every person. You might have a life coach supporting one client through medical school, and another client through a rocky relationship.
One psychology study examined the effects of personal and group coaching. The researchers found:
- Both types combat procrastination and support goal achievement
- Individual coaching was most effective in helping patients reach their goals
- Individual coaching brought patients the most satisfaction
Why Work With a Coach?
You might wonder: why do I need a personal coach?
Tell me, do any feelings below sound familiar?
- Aimless
- Overwhelmed by a change (even a positive one!)
- Persistently on-edge
- Unable to shake harmful habits or unfulfilling routines
- Overly cautious and unable to move forward
Now, what is a life coach supposed to do? A life coach will help you figure out your personal “why” and identify tangible actions toward completing your goals. They’ll ask eye-opening questions to recognize your inner barriers and strengths.
One life coaching study found that participants preferred the communication methods with life coaches over other support figures like family members and even mental health professionals in certain cases. That’s because the interaction is simultaneously personalized, accountable, and supportive.
Life coaching services are like the professional middle-point between talking to a friend and consulting a mental-health professional. That sweet spot hasn’t been studied enough, but I like looking at data from happy clients to see the value.
For example, I listen to all my clients’ doubts, dreams, and goals — I take a compassionate approach while helping them muster the willpower to tackle each obstacle, one at a time.
Is Hiring a Coach Worth It?
You’re not the first person to ask.
Life coaching isn’t your average consulting service. If you’re looking to find a life coach, you’ve probably have some questions. How can life coaching services be worth the time, cost, and energy?
The value depends on your goals. Life coaches aren’t psychologists or therapists– they don’t treat mental health issues. Likewise, a life coach won’t enable you to avoid work or fall on the sword of excuses.
So, is a life coach worth it? As I tell my clients: a life coach is worth it if you’re ready to make a change.
If you’re ready to:
- Steer your life toward your ultimate goals
- Be vulnerable
- Accept the consequences (and fruits) of your actions
- Find stillness and happiness each day
- Be held accountable for reaching your goals
It’s certainly worth it.
Sure, the internet has tons of resources on time management techniques and life strategies – but who’s keeping you accountable to find them? Without accountability, that task likely gets pushed to next week. And the next week, and so on. Goals get lost in daily minutia, and procrastinating is easier alone.
Life coaches come from varied backgrounds, but that’s the incredible part – versatility. With thousands of unique experiences and credentials, you have ultimate control.
Maybe you’d prefer a life coach with a financial background; a yoga and meditation background; a sociology background. You can handpick your best life coach.
