When It Flows
A reflection on alignment, preparation, and the kind of prosperity that begins to move toward you.
“Chance favors the prepared mind.”
– Louis Pasteur
Dear Reader,
Last week I wrote about forcing – what happens when we try to drag something into existence before its time.
This week I want to talk about the other side of that.
Because when you stop forcing and start moving in alignment, the work itself begins to feel different. It flows. You become more intentional. You can spend hours on something and look up without feeling drained. Creativity arrives more easily. And seemingly unrelated things start coming together in ways you couldn’t have planned.
This week gave me a few small examples of that.
First, I received two phone calls from unexpected new clients, people who seemed to come out of nowhere, which felt great. Then around the same time, I had a hundred-page document I wanted reviewed. I’d assumed it would cost a couple thousand dollars, but figured it was worth it. So I reached out to an editor, and they happened to be testing a new system and asked if they could use my work to help train it … at no cost to me.
None of that was luck. And none of it was magic.
The first two didn’t come from nowhere, I’d been showing up for a year, so I was ready when the calls came. And the document? I spent months creating it. I felt the urge to get it reviewed. I reached out. I followed up. I said yes when the opportunity appeared. The good fortune found me because I was clear, in motion, and prepared to receive it.
That’s what Pasteur meant. Prosperity – whatever that looks like for you, whether it’s wealth, ease, creativity, or the right opportunities – tends to flow toward the person who knows what they’re building and is already moving toward it.
I always have a vision. I may adjust and hone it as I go, and things get clearer as you get closer, right? But I’m never unclear about what I’m trying to create. And when that clarity meets alignment and the right timing, things have a way of unfolding.
My question for you this week:
What are you trying to create and how can you build the alignment within yourself for it to flow toward you?
Create from there.
– Ken
